Antique condition and descriptions
Our collection comprises antiques, vintage objects and historical pieces. These are not new items, and signs of age, use and handling may be present. Patina, surface wear, fading, tarnishing, small imperfections, historic repairs and other age-related characteristics may form part of an item’s appeal and should be assessed in the context of its age and nature.
We aim to describe each item honestly and carefully, highlighting significant condition points and providing photographs to help buyers assess the piece. Please read the full description and examine all photographs before purchasing. If you would like further details, measurements or additional photographs, please contact us before ordering.
An item’s condition is assessed in the context of its age, materials, type and description. However, this does not exclude your statutory rights where an item is materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet the legal requirements that apply to the sale.
Problems arising after delivery
If an item arrives with damage that was not disclosed or reasonably apparent from the listing, or you believe it differs materially from its description, please contact us with your order details and, where possible, photographs of the item and packaging.
We will consider the circumstances and work with you to establish what has happened and what remedy may be appropriate under applicable law. Please retain the packaging until the matter has been resolved.
Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
